Our “Evening Reset” Routine That Calms the Whole House
Before bedtime, there’s that wild in-between moment…the pre-sleep chaos, the mess, the moods. This is when we do our “Evening Reset,” a 15-minute family flow that clears the clutter (physically and energetically) and invites in calm. Set the Tone with Light & Sound
We dim the lights and play our favorite wind-down playlist (instrumental or nature-based). You can go to Meditate with Jamie for some wind down playlists.
Clean Up Together, Calmly
We set a timer for 5 minutes and all clean together…but slowly. No barking orders, no racing. Just shared movement. Usually we all pick a room.
Sensory Reset
Each person chooses one calming thing: lotion massage, warm washcloth, brushing hair, or lavender spray. This grounds the body and signals rest is near. Jamie’s personal fave is her (affiliate link →) Magnesium Night Time Spray. Especially after an active day.
Transition to Sleep Flow
After the reset, we move into PJs, teeth, and our bedtime story or mediation. There’s less resistance because the energy has already shifted.

This isn’t about being perfect…it’s about being peaceful. Your evening reset can be simple, short, and still incredibly powerful.
